My name is David Bowen I was born in Kingsport, TN and grew up in Duffield, VA.  I attended Rye Cove High School in Scott County Virginia.  After high school, I attended the University of Virginia Wise.  I transferred to Carson-Newman College in 1992.  I graduated from Carson-Newman in 1995 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology.  I went on to earn my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Carson-Newman in 1998.  I taught four years at Cherokee High School in Hawkins County and came to West View in 2002.  My Wife is Advancement Specialist At Walters State Community College.  I have two children Ethan 16 and Emma 14.
